Before the Alaska Highway even begins, you can see this:

Here is just one sign informing you that you are now on the Alaskan Highway.

Robertson River

Here is my favorite River to photograph. It has ice on it frequently all the way into June!

On May19….

On May 27…

On May 27… and again on June 11

Tok

The St. Elias Mountain Range before the border crossing.

Border Crossing

The official marker at the US / Canadian Border

Beaver Creek

The visitor’s center at Beaver Creek

Further along down the road comes Burwash, Destruction Bay, and one of my favorite places:

Burwash

The area around Kluane Lake……

Haines Junction is where you will find Cupcake Mountain:

The Aishiak River bridge where I go searching for rocks…

…. and

Here is a sign to the infamous Champagne. It is infamous, because this is near the corner where I lost control of a white truck. Thank God I was able to regain control before the cars showed up .

Whitehorse

Snow on the Yukon river in Whitehorse.

In Whitehorse, passengers usually stay the night before driving toward Skagway in the morning. That drive is one of the most scenic places ever. Check out the page on the Klondike highway.
