Over the last 10 or more years, I have been going to Alaska for the summer. This year is different. I had hoped to be in Guatemala by the middle / end of summer. As a result, I stayed in the Washington area. One of my home churches holds a “family camp” at the Oregon Coast near Fort Stevens. For the last few years I’ve heard all about it. This year, I have the opportunity to attend.
While I don’t have any camping gear, I do know people who are willing to provide. I think I’ll call it a working vacation. For at least a couple days I still have work to do – and people to visit. Pray for opportunities to share. May God bless this trip.
Oh the exciting part: I will be able to make memories with family! This will be something I cherish when I get to Guatemala and not see them for a while.
