Friends and Family,

I apologize that it has been over a month since I last posted.  Life has been busy, crazy, and downright overwhelming.  So to catch up, let’s start back in August

End of August: One of the difficulties I had during this time period, is that at the end of the summer season, students and drivers for Holland America go back to school.  As a result, the work load increases.  At the same time, I was trying to organize a camping trip with my Dad and take care of ‘the little things’.  Even though I was busy, I was able to see Carol and get pictures of some local ‘Eagle Eager Beavers’. :) Yes, I’ll get those photos up soon I hope!

Beginning of September:  Camping Trip!  (Or my Dad likes to say Hunting Trip).  In reality, it was a camping for my Dad and I, but a friend was able to harvest some meat for the winter.  It was quite an experience.  A stretching one for my Dad, and an incredible one for myself.  I have never been ‘tent-camping’, but have always wanted to go.  Well – we didn’t even use a tent!  We harvested some long poles, put some Visqueen around the A-frame, and that’s what we slept under.  For me it was a great experience that I’ll never forget and hope to repeat sometime in my future.  Most people said it was miserable weather in the area, but for me, I didn’t care about the weather – I enjoyed being out in the middle of nowhere, enjoying God’s creation.  It truly is a magnificent creation.

Mid-September until Now: Coming back from the trip, I jumped right into completing the application for OC international.  I can now proudly report that I am about 90% done.  A few things are still needed, but the largest part of the application process is completed.  After turning in the final paperwork, it is up to OC International to make the decision and request an interview.  In reality – it is in God’s hands.

Meanwhile, I am doing some substitute teaching, and trying to help my parents out in arranging for someone to fix our water lines.  Apparently there is a break in the water line – so we need to replace the entire line from the cistern to the house.  It has taken over a week – but today some men arrived to “drill the new line.  I’m here to supervise, answer questions – and today I realized that I need to update my blog.  So here we are!

Well, I’m going to spend some time trying to re-configure the Web Site.  I hope it is easier to navigate.
